What it does

Integrate control information, custom fields, policies, and proof from your Hyperproof account into HyperComply. Effortlessly showcase this data on a personalized HyperComply Trust Page or leverage it to automate responses to security questionnaires using HyperComply Respond.

How it works

Your passing Hyperpoof controls and proof are pulled into HyperComply in the form of documents and questionnaire responses. 

  1. First, you will need to set up an API connection between your HyperComply and Hyperproof accounts.
  2. You will be able to sync desired information from Hyperproof into HyperComply on demand.
  3. You have the ability to set up automated syncing on an interval of your choosing.

 

Setup

Step 1: Create your Hyperproof Service Account

HyperComply will authenticate to your Hyperproof instance via a “Service account”. 

  • Inside your Hyperproof account, navigate to Settings > API clients > Service Account.
  • Click “+ New”
  • Use the following details to create the account:
    • Name: “HyperComply Service Account”
    • Scopes:
      • control.read
      • organization.read
      • label.read
      • proof.read
    • Role: Limited Access User
  • Copy the values for “CLIENT ID” and “CLIENT SECRET” - you will need these to enter into HyperComply.

 

Step 2: Connect HyperComply to Hyperproof

Inside your HyperComply account, navigate to Integration Settings (https://app.hypercomply.com/settings/integrations) and click “Connect” under Hyperproof

Note: If you do not see the “Connect” button, navigate to “Team Management” and ensure your permissions are “Owner” for the organization. Users must have the “Configure Integrations” setting enabled to complete this set up. Contact your Admin to update these permissions if necessary. 

Enter the Client ID and Client Secret from the Service Account created above, then click “Save”.

 

Step 3: Sync your Control and Proof Data into HyperComply

Navigate back to your HyperComply account’s integration settings, and the Hyperproof section will look like below. Click “Sync” if you would like to bring in your control and proof information into HyperComply. 

Note: 

  • You can leave the default Control Description as the text associated with the control, or choose a Custom Field you’d like to use instead using the “Control description override” dropdown. If you select a Custom Field override, only controls with the Custom Field attached to them will be synced:
  • HyperComply will download all available Proof from your Hyperproof account as reference documents. If you want to pare down the proof that is synced, you can do this by limiting the access of the HyperComply service account to only the labels you would like to sync.

 

Step 4: If you would like to have the integration sync your control information automatically at predetermined intervals, toggle on “Sync automatically”. 

 

Step 5: Review your Security Controls in HyperComply 

Navigate to Knowledge Base > Reference Content and click the “Hyperproof Reference Questionnaire”. Here you’ll see all of your passing controls synced into Question/Answer format. These controls will be kept in sync based on your settings above, and will be used for answering questionnaires as applicable. 

Navigate to Documents. All synced Proof will appear in your documents with a badge showing it is being synced from Hyperproof.


You've seamlessly integrated HyperComply with your Hyperproof account. Now, your Hyperproof controls, policies, and other evidence can be effortlessly showcased on a tailored Trust Page, used to automatically complete questionnaires with HyperComply Respond, and all information is easily searchable within your HyperComply knowledge base.
